Our History

Club History

  • The Sheep Creek Weavers and Fibre Artists Guild is a nonprofit organization. Our primary goal is to inspire members to attain a higher level of knowledge and skill in fibre arts and to share with the community our love of the ancient arts of spinning, weaving and felting.
  • We are a guild for those interested in all fibre arts. During our monthly guild meetings a business meeting is followed by a program demonstrating some aspect of fibre arts.
  • Monthly workshops teach and extend members' skills in many areas. Topics have included spinning, felting, knitting, basket weaving, on and off-loom weaving techniques, color, dyeing and design. All workshops are run at a minimal cost to members.
  • A comprehensive library of fibrecraft books is available free of charge to members. Also, a wide range of spinning, weaving and dyeing equipment is available for rent.
  • An opportunity for members to sell their products is provided through an Annual Sale and Tea each October.
  • A full description of our guild's activities and rules is available from the Secretary.
